Hi all. It is my day on the UFO blog hop, hosted by Joan @ Moosestashquilting.com. Joan must be spying on my quilting room and know that I have lots of UFO's hanging in the closet in there.
When I first heard about this hop, I thought great, it will help me get some of my quilts done. Yeah, right. I am really trying to get my sewing room really organized, especially since I want to teach some online classes, so I need a clean and organized space, right?
Well, I have also been submitting applications to teach at some quilt retreats, so I needed to get projects taken care of for those. Good news is I am teaching at 2. One is in October in Richfield UT and there will be 2 classes: A SUNBONNET SUE and the other class is a beginning machine quilting class.
The 2nd one is in February and is in Bryce Canyon in Utah. 2 classes for that one is beginning machine quilting and Help! How do I quilt this?
I submitted this quilt for the beginning machine quilting classes, but told them the quilt will be different. So, I asked my granddaughter who is 12 and my daughter if they would be willing to stitch up a quilt top for me, because I overloaded my plate. I do that a lot. And not only with projects but also food.
But as I was cleaning and organizing I did find a couple of small projects that needed binding on them, so I got those done. I have also been part of a group doing things for humanitarian work and got quite a few bags sewn. So not bad, but I really need to get focused on finishing my projects that are already started.
Well, why don't you check out my other blogging friends and see what they have to share? In the meantime, I will work on a plan to get my UFO's done. Thanks for joining me and my craziness. The other bloggers for this hop are:
