It's Gonna Be May blog tour

Welcome to my stop on the It's Gonna Be May blog hop by Petite Stitchery and Co and sponsored by www.southernbellefabrics.com.  Thank you to petite Stitchery for providing the patterns to us.

Today, I am sharing a raglan top that I have made.  I love making these raglans. Yes, i know it is almost May and I know it is warming up, but long sleeve raglan still come in handy, in that the grandkids these were made for, the families love to go into the mountains.

These are so easy to whip up. I am making more of these.   Especially in blue, as the little guy wearing this one, has requested more in blue.

When I first gave this to him, he did not want to take it off. In fact  he tried to argue the point with his mommy that it was so soft it could be pajamas. Mommy told him that he could wear it the next day, if he  could get pajamas on. Now, the little guy wore it for like 3 days straight. How? The first day he put it on the right way, the next day, hmmm, this side is dirty, so I just turn it around, and then, I just turn it wrong side out.

This is the  one for babies, and it can be turned into a onesie. I need to make more of these as this little girl is definitely outgrowing  this.

You can buy both of these patterns here, https://petitestitchery.com/?promo_rep=43

This grandma is pleased that the grandkids love the things I make for them.

I am hoping in the next few days to share with you another make from Petite Stitchery.

Spring Fling Island Batik Ambassador Alumni

Hi!!!! Thanks for joining me on the spring fling Island Batik Ambassador Alumni challenge.  Our theme is use it up. I have a few pieces of batiks to use up.

As I got looking through things, I found that I had some projects started.  So, I am going to share those.

First is this one, where I had been learning paper piecing. I designed the pattern myself. It is supposed to represent kites, but I had forgotten to get some ribbon to use for the tail. And just as I am sitting right here, writing this post, I realized I could have made a tail. Oh well, I will do that after work.

This next one is made based on the squiggles quilt by Christa Watson. I laid it out a bit differently.  I have not had time to get this one quilted.  I hope to quilt it this weekend.

I hope you have been enjoying this blog hop.

Check with the other Alumni to see what they did to use up their scraps.

Spring into spring with Pickle Toes Patterns - A Mini capsule wardrobe

Today I am excited to be joining Pickle Toes Patterns for their spring into spring tour.  My original plan was to do a mini capsule wardrobe,  but my ideas are sometimes bigger than the time I have. Also I have had some health issues and have not had the energy to sew. However, all is not lost. I just adjusted my plans.

Welcome to Sew into Spring with Pickle Toes Patterns. Join us for 5 days of sewing our patterns as we prep for the transition from winter to spring. We were lucky enough to have 10 bloggers join us sewing up lovely creations and to have Evelyn at Seweird Fabric sponsor our bloggers and offer us a store credit for one of our lovely readers. You can find Evelyn on Facebook here. At the end of the tour join us for a rafflecopter giveaway featuring a $20 credit from Seweird and a $20 shop credit from us.

I am going to share some of my favorite Sews from Pickle Toes Patterns.

First up is this cute dress called Pickled Tink.  I love it. I made this one for my youngest granddaughter.   This dress is so cute and versatile. It can be worn with or without a bolero. I have seen a double ruffle on the bottom and a sash around it.

Next is the Taylor Tee.  Another pattern with options. It can be color blocked,  or done plain. I like it plain because it Sews together fast. I like fast. Even color blocking it goes fast.   This pattern is available for Men, Women, husky size, children and babies. Yes, you need this one for those family reunions to keep track of your family. And those wonderful family pictures. This pattern makes it great for matching the whole group.

Next up are the Grasshoppers.   These are so cute for girls. They have an elastic waist, different lengths, shorts, Bermuda  (knee), capri and pants. They are a great year round pattern. You can have a little slit on the bottom at the sides and do a cute bow.

Next up are the polliwogs leggings for children then you have the tadpoles for babies. I need to buy the tadpoles patterns.

My granddaughter loves these polliwogs leggings.  I don't always know what fabrics I use, as I sometimes buy them as flat folds from one of my local stores, but I know these back ones are made from dbp, double brushed polyester, and they are soft. My granddaughter loves them.

I love these Pickle Toes Patterns,  and they have lots more. Some of which I am currently working on. If you purchase any of these patterns, I would love it, if you would use my affiliate link. There is no extra charge, but I do earn a small commission. www.pickletoespatterns.com?aff=71
