This months color challenge from patternsbyjen.com is a favorite color of mine and at least 2 granddaughters. We love pink. In fact I have been making these bench cushions, using this awesome flamingos fabric I found on clearance at Joanns.
So, now on to the block for this month.
I love this block. It definitely goes together quite fast. I was able to do a lot of chain piecing, and then pressing all at once, then put it together and so a final press.
You can get the pattern for free by visiting Jen @patternsbyjen.com
This block would work well to make a few throw pillows to go on my benches and swing.
I can imagine a quilt made out of several of these blocks and I can picture how I might want to quilt it. In fact, I am going to play with some ideas and see what I can come up with on this, because if it works right, it can be 1 of my 9 for grandkids for Christmas. That will be my goal for this month is to at least start working on it. Question is should I do all the same fabrics or should I go scrappy pinks?
I can't wait to see your blocks, so please make sure to link up with Jen at the end of the month. I will definitely be back later in the month to share the progress I have made on the quilt. So I ask you to please answer the question above to give me some ideas.
