I am excited to be here today. I am blogging about February's block with patterns by Jen @ www.patternsbyjen.blogspot.com. The pattern is free and you can get it from Jen at www.patternsbyjen.blogspot.com
It is super easy to make these blocks, and they go together super quick. I have used her patterns before, I have been a tester on some, and she writes very clear instructions, easy to understand.

Make a list Monday 1-28-19
1. I need to get my block made for the 2019 Monthly Color Challenge with Jen at www.patternsbyjen.blogspot.com. I actually need to get my January block done and my February block done. I will be sharing February's block on Friday, February 1st.
2. These 2 quilts are waiting for binding. Binding is cut for 1 of them.
3. Get my 16 patch block done for the hand piecing quilt along hosted by the lovely ladies at www.elmstreetquilts.com
4. Try to get my One Monthly Goal done also hosted by elm street quilts.
5. Work on my project for the EPP book hop hosted by Carolina at www.alwaysexpectmoore.com. It really is going well.
6. Work on the project for the Show Your Wings blog hop. I haven't decided if this will be a bed size quilt, or a pillow case or throw pillow. I may even make it a dresser scarf and then do the quilt later. It will depends on the time that I have.
7. Work on the project for the Dust Off a quilt book hop. I haven't decided if this will be a bed size quilt, or a pillow case or throw pillow. I may even make it a dresser scarf and then do the quilt later. It will depends on the time that I have.
8. If time, quilt 1 of these quilts.
Of course, I always have some hand piecing to work on. Some of these items can also be hand pieced, so I will be taking some of them to work and working on them during my lunch break.
And there may be some walls in the basement needing priming. The first 5 items are really my focus. The others will come if time permits. I also work full time outside the home, so that makes for fun times trying to do everything I want to do. I do try to sew for at least an hour each day. It really depends what time i get off of work. Sometimes i come home very exhausted and have to force myself to sew.
I would love to hear what you are working on this week.

Black and white blog hop
Hi,
Thanks for joining me today for my day on the Black and white blog hop. My quilt has some red in it, just for fun. I want to thank Carla at www.createinthesticks.blogspot.com for hosting this blog hop.
I am sad to say I didn't get it totally completed, although I tried. I have had some crazy work hours and am still trying to get things organized after a sewage flood in October. We are in the process of a forced remodel because of it, and one of the rooms being worked on is my sewing room.
But, I do want to share my quilt with you. I need to add just a couple more borders, then I can get it quilted.
The quilting that I am going to do, will be free motion with some pretend ruler work. I say pretend, because I don't have the ruler foot or rulers for machine quilting, but I will use my regular rulers to mark my lines.
I will share my quilt here as soon as I get it finished, so I would love for you to follow me.
Info on the quilt:
Pattern is from Quiltmaker Jan/Feb 2014 and is designed by Margie Ullery of ribboncandyquiltcompany.com. I love Margie's patterns.
As for the fabric, it all came from my stash.

Make a list Monday 1-21-19
It is Monday already. Time flies. So Last week, I was able to get this quilt bound and it felt great to have a finish.
I also finished this cute little Cinderella dress for my youngest granddaughter. Now I have 2 more Cinderella dresses to do, and 3 of each princess dress to do. This grandma is not up to date on all the princesses, thank goodness my daughter's know who they are and what color dresses I need to make.
Now onto this weeks list. 1. I have these 2 quilts that need binding, so I hope to get at least 1 done.
2. Get my quilt done for the Black and white blog hop that is this Thursday. I may not have it all quilted and bound, but will see how far I get. I really like the pattern, so I will be making another one and enlarging it. The black and white blog hop is being hosted by Carla at www.createinthesticks.blogspot.com.
3. Work on quilting 1 of these quilts for the heartbuilders group that gives them to different organizations.
4. Continue working on this quilt that is part of my one monthly goal.
5. Begin working on an EPP (English paper piecing) project for a book tour I am doing next month.
6. Keep working on my handpiecing projects. These are projects that go places with me. Yes, I stitch at work during my lunch break. I have a good list of things to work on. I would love to hear what you are working on.

It's a finish and tgifFriday
Hi readers,
It feels so great to have a finish. I have had this quilt in Progress for a while and it is done. Yay!! I am also hosting Thank Goodness it is Finished Friday.
This quilt I am calling The Diamond quilt. So many diamonds and it was a fun quilt to make. I was inspired to make this quilt when I saw it in the Fall 2016 edition of Modern Patchwork magazine and the pattern is Yellow on a gray day.
I choose purples, grays, yellow and white for mine.
I quilted the batiks with feathers, and then did kind of straight lines in the white area.
All fabrics are from www.islandbatik.com.
So a refresh on quilt information
Pattern: Yellow on a Gray day, Modern Patchwork Fall 2016
Fabric: Island Batik
Batting: Warm and Natural
Thread for quilting: Warm Gray glide thread from www.habanddash.com
I would love to see what you have finished. You can link up below.

Make a list Monday
Well, I am a bit late posting again.
Things have been going nuts. Been working extra hours at work and trying to keep up with everything else I am doing. But all is good. I like to be busy. Sometimes I think I really try to do too much. A quick update on the basement, baseboards are going in in the sewing room. YAY!!!!!
For this week, my focus is really going to be on getting some things finished. Do you find you have some unfinished projects? I sure do.
So the list:
Get these quilts bound. I do have the binding strips cut. That is a start. I am hosting Thank Goodness it is Finished Friday, so at least 1 needs finished.
Finish and quilt and bind 1, if not both, of these quilts for the Black and white quilt hop, that starts next week. My day to post is the 24th.
Quilt at least 1 of these quilts for charity.
Finish quilting this quilt. I need to take it off the rollers, as it is on my frame, which is taken apart, until my sewing room is ready.
Continue working on 1 of my hand piecing or applique projects.
There is a lot, but not a ton this time, as I want to have some time free so we can start priming walls when the time comes.
What are you working on this week? I would love to hear.

Make a list Monday - January 7th
As I glanced at my list from last week, I didn't accomplish much, at least from my list. What I did accomplish on the list was getting more of my blocks done for my charming flower quilt. I am a bit more than halfway done.
Off the list, I see more progress in my basement. We have gotten doors hung, the sewing room and hallway are almost ready to prime.
I thing we have decided to paint with agreeable grey from Sherwin Williams. We have also been deciding on flooring. We are thinking a laminate hardwood or carpeting, pros and cons with both. We still have time to think all the way through this.
So, this week's list.
1. Get these 2 quilts bound.
2. Work on the quilt for the Black and white quilt blog hop I am doing. I have one almost done called Black Tie Affair from Quiltmaker Jan/Feb 2014 and another one I am playing with called Chic Country by www.sewkindofwonderful.com.
3. Continue with my charming flowers quilt. This quilt is from Simply Charming Collection by Moose on the Porch quilts www.moosequilts.com
4. Work on getting a quilt quilted for charity. This one is if there is time.
5. Work on this squiggles quilt. I am hand piecing as I like to have something to do at lunch time. This quilts is from the book Piecing and Quilting with precuts from www.christaquilts.com
6. This is going to be a butterfly pilllow I am hand appliqueing this, so it also goes to work with me. It is from the book Curiosities & Mischief from www.arttoheart.com
7. Finish quilting this one.
Now, to put these on a list that I will see daily and schedule them in. If I don't get to all, it isn't the end of the world. This is how I relax.
I would love to hear what you are working on, and how do you find best to schedule things? I do work full time.
