Christmas in July 2021

Hi and welcome to my day of the Christmas in July blog hop.    This hop is hosted by the wonderful Sarah @www.confessionsofafabricaddict.blogspot.com.

It has been so hot here, so thinking about Christmas maybe makes it a bit cooler in your mind, at least.   But, as you know, we need to start early on holiday gifts and decorations if we are going to get them done.

Today I am sharing a fun table runner.    It is not done yet, as I have had some health issues and by the time I get off of work, I am totally drained.

I am going to share with you how I made this runner.   It is so easy.

For today's tutorial, I am using a pack of 2 1/2" strips.

Cut your 2 1/2" strips into 8 1/2" strips.    The number depends on how long you want to make your runner.

From a solid, cut 2 1/2" squares, again number depends on how many strips you do.   On my Christmas one I did 16 and it measures about 52 inches long.     Cut 1  9 1/2 in square and cut in half diagonally to get your starting and ending triangles.   You will cut 3 1/2 inch borders the length of your runner.

To start,

Separate your strips into 2 piles.    One pile will be short strips, and the second pile will have a square sewn to one end so it will be long.

Take 1 short strip and sew along one short side of starting  triangle.

Sew a long strip onto the other short side of triangle.

Repeat with sewing one short strip to the side you previously you sewed the first one to.    And the long strip to the other side.

Your strips will not be the same length, but you will trim at the end.

After it is to the length you want it, trim the edges even and add borders.    Trim, and make a quilt sandwich, I like my backing and batting to be a couple of inches bigger all around, and then I trim after quilting.

The strips give you so many fun options for quilting.   Great place to practice a lot of designs. This is a quilt I quilted for a friend, with a similar kind of pattern, just to show you 2 ideas for quilting.

Please check out all the bloggers and see what great ideas they shared.   We can all use great ideas right?   And it is never too late to start working on the quilt Sarah has designed to share with us.

  10. Today we gonna discuss biology research topics. First, you should know biology include only living things not nonliving things. In this subject we study animals' bodies, growth, function, food, etc. In another word, all research depends on live things.
