Introduction:
I am a wife, mom and grandma.  I began sewing when I was 9 years old, through the 4H program.  I loved it.  I remember my mom sewing for my siblings and I, and I decided I wanted to learn to sew.  We got some friends together, and started a 4H club.  One of the things I really enjoyed was winning first place at the county fair, and then going on to the state fair, but looking back, it was the judging that I realize was the important part.  Through the judging process, it taught me things that I could improve on.  I sewed quite a bit throughout Jr. high and high school, making some of my own clothes. I helped my mom make my prom dress as well as other dresses that I wore. I continued my sewing and began sewing for our children as we started our family.  Throughout the years, in addition to making basic clothes for our children, I have sewn winter coats (think ski parkas), prom dresses, a Cinderella dress for one of our daughters and much more.  I teach sewing classes to youth as well as adults.  I have also learned quilting, and I started learning that in my teen years, and have continued that as well.  I also teach quilting classes to youth and adults.   I have most recently started doing alterations and custom sewing.  Through custom sewing, I got involved in making shirts for Rodeo Queens, which I really enjoy doing.
