Dish towels

I love dishtowels, and I love them to be pretty as well as functional. I also like my dish towels to be bigger than the ones I get in the store.  The towels pictured below have a 100% quality cotton fabric on the front, and are backed with 100% cotton terry cloth.  They are very absorbent.  These towels measure 15" x 24".  They will add a lot of color to your kitchen.  The fabrics have all been preshrunk, and washed and dried after making them.  I do this, just to be sure none of the colors bleed.

I love these crocheted dishcloths.  These dishcloths are made with 100% cotton yarn.  They measure 10 1/4" x 10 1/2".  They can be used for dishes or they even make great wash cloths and can be used in the bath or the shower.   They are soft and absorbent.  These can be machine washed and dried.
This dish towel is embroidered on a vintage 1930's flour sack towel.  The design embroidered is yellow peppers.  The stripes going down the dishtowel are on the sides.  There is also a hanging loop, for hanging the dishtowel.  This towel measures 18" x 28".  They are 100% cotton.
Any of these items are for sale. All of these items are handmade by my daughter and I.   I will be posting the prices soon, and you can reach me at kbruck2001@yahoo.com to order them.  I will be making more and if you want a specific color, please let me know.  These will also be for sale at the IDOS spring convention on May 11, 2013 at the Legacy Events Center in Farmington UT.

scrappy quilt for a friend

This is a quilt that I made for a friend.  I used a bunch of different squares that I had and sewed them together, and the quilting was done with a meander stitch throughout the quilt.  I used warm and natural 100% cotton batting in this quilt.  There is no border on the quilt.  It is one that I really enjoyed making.

About my quilts

All of my quilts are custom made.  They are constructed from the bottom up, meaning that you tell me what colors you want, what the theme is (for a baby or child's room), and what you envision.  If you have seen a quilt that you like and you can describe it for me, that is great.  If you have found a favorite quilt block or pattern that works also.  All the information you can give to me about your quilt just helps me make what you  really want.

The pricing for my quilts depends on a lot of things.  If you want a licensed fabric, like Dora, Winnie the Pooh, John Deere, etc. that will usually cost more than if you want just a tiny floral print.  Also, my quilts are not mass produced, each one is made by me, and each one is given the care and attention as if they were for my own family members.  Each quilt is made with love, and each one comes with a label, that I will custom make for you.

Quilting is something that I am very passionate about.  I love to do this and it makes me happy to be able to share this talent with other people.  My quilts are meant to be used and loved.  So many times someone gets a quilt and decides it is too pretty to use, and they store it away.  I love mine to be used and loved, and that is what I envision you will do with the quilts you buy from me.

Friend Amber's quilt

This is a quilt that I made for one of my best friends babies.  I made it 3 years ago, and my friend tells me that her little girl still uses it and loves it.  I used the pattern grandmother's favorite.  I did a free motion quilting around the frogs, and outline on the other blocks.  I did a heart design around the border.

Landon quilt

This is a quilt that I made for my great nephew.  I love this quilt and the theme of the room is a jungle theme. This is a four patch quilt and has a border of hearts quilted all the way around. The four patch squares are done with free motion quilting.
